Which Way is East・東はとっち・东方在何方

Over the past few years, my life has unfolded between travel and constant relocation. I have moved across borders and cities, navigating through environments with vastly different languages and social systems.

On a map, “East" is merely a cardinal direction, yet within experience, it often loses its stability. It is at once a geographical bearing, a cultural coordinate, and a sense of psychological “belonging" and “distance." Through photography, as I search for a place to inhabit amidst my journey, I seek to contemplate the possibilities of how the world and I might coexist in the future.

過去数年にわたり、私は旅と移動のあいだを行き来してきた。国や都市をまたぎ、言語や社会制度の異なる環境を切り替えながら移動してきたのである。

「東」は地図の上では一つの方角にすぎないが、経験のなかではしばしばその安定性を失う――それは地理的な方位であると同時に文化的な座標であり、さらに心理的な「帰属」と「距離感」をめぐる感覚でもある。私は写真を通して、旅の途上で身を寄せる場所を探しながら、自分と世界がこれからどのように共存しうるのか、その可能性について考えたい。

在过去的几年里，我始终往返于旅途与迁徙之间。跨越国境与城市，在语言和社会制度各异的环境中不断切换与穿行。

在地图上，“东”仅仅是一个方位，但在经验之中，它却往往会失去其原本的稳定性——它既是地理上的方位，也是文化上的坐标，更是关于心理“归属感”与“距离感”的一种感知。我希望通过摄影，在旅途中寻找安身之所，并思考自己与世界在未来共存的可能性。
